We have worked hard to make the process to build and operate your own OASYS system as easy as possible. That being said, aquaponics is not simple. It is important to understand that aquaponics is a powerful agricultural system that can consistently produce hundreds of quality vegetables week after week, but it does require daily attention and around 20 hours a week for operations.

For those that are serious, we cannot over-emphasize the importance of attending an in-person OASYS training at one of our partner locations. It is a big commitment of time and money, but the experience of working with the system is valuable.

Here are the steps:

​

• TRAINING- This is the first step in your OASYS Aquaponics journey to understanding how to build, operate, and create a business. 

​

• IDENTIFY A POINT PERSON- Find the person that will be running the system day-in and day-out.

​​

• STARTER PACKET- Helps you to determine the viability of this system for your area and clearly understand the financial and operational requirements.

​​

• GREENHOUSE- Determine the size and layout of your greenhouse. 

​​

• MATERIALS- Lists of materials needed.

​​

• LEVEL THE GROUND- Prepare the ground for the system.

​​

• WATER AND ELECTRICITY- Run water and electricity to the site.
